Biography

Dr. Ivory W. Lyles is a man of purpose, faith and vision.  His energy and style is a positive asset to any upcoming meeting of convention.  He brings a message of education, inspiration, motivation and vigor.

Dr. Lyles was born on a small farm in Scott County, Mississippi and educated in the Scott County School System.  Following graduation, he attended Alcorn State University, Mississippi State University and The Ohio State University earning a B.S. , M.S. and Ph.D. respectively in Agriculture Economics/Education. 

Some of Dr. Lyles' trainings, memberships and accolades include:  University of Tennessee Administration's Leadership Academy, The Center for Creative Leadership: "Looking Glass Experience" and the Southern Extension Leadership Workshop.  He is a member of Phi Kappa Beta, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and 100 Black Men.  Dr. Lyles has also authored a plethora of various agricultural publications, publications on leadership and management, newsletters and speeches. 

With a track record of raising 25 million dollars annually to support educational programs and leading organizations with an annual operating budget in excess of 75 million dollars and more than 850 associates and employees; Dr. Lyles will unquestionably be an asset to any organizational structure. 

After a 30 year tenure at 5 Land-Grant institutions, Dr. Lyles retired as Associate Vice President for Agriculture and Director of Cooperative Extension Services for professional growth and development.  However, with his strong work ethic, Dr. Lyles has started the Lyles Consulting Group and looks forward to assisting organizations develop and grow.
